Day 1

Yesterday was a good day. I'm glad because I needed one. It started off with a Networking Luncheon where I saw some friends I have not seen in quite some time. As in person. FaceBook "seeing" doesn't count.

After lunch, I rushed home so that I could wait forever at the DMV to get my new license. VA has changed their license so if you have the old one, you actually have to go in and get a new pic done - slight smile, no teeth. :0) When I arrived, there was no line. I barely had time to fill out the form before the nice lady called my name. Then, bada bing bada boom, I was done. In and out in 15mins!

I then proceed to rush home and switch cars. The little VW we bought back in Oct had expired tags from Nov. Now, I did my due diligence and got it inspected before it expired but it failed. With an $1800 estimate to fix it, I had to wait for Randy to get around to doing it. And, no, it didn't cost $1800. So, I get the inspection place fully expecting to have to wait and wouldn't you know, NO line! Pulled right up, got out of the car and the nice man drove it away. Five minutes later I am driving away with a passed emissions paper in my hand.

There was a slight bump after that which we won't go into here.

My day ended with Fuddrucker's. My friend Buky was doing a fundraiser there, so Randy and I went to help her out. Oh, then we went to Dairy Queen for a Blizzard. It was a very nice way to end the day.
