Girlfriends

So, I have been thinking. I dont really have any girlfriends to hang out with on occassion. I know that sounds like a weird thing to write, but I dont. It makes me jealous of those that do. I have "friends" I see everywhere and network with, but if I wanted to invite a couple of people over the only person I can think of to hang out with is Rebecca. I think I missed out because I did not go to College. My time at Teen Mania was behind a stove and I was not required to participate in activities like everyone else so I didnt really get to know but maybe 3 or 4 people well. Even when I did participate, I did really "know" anyone because I had no co-workers with my job. It is just a very sad realization for me.....I dont have girl weekends, or spa days with my girlfriends. I think I am going to have to change that.

There Has to be a Way to Remember

I hate not remembering I have this Blog, but since I keep forgetting it is hard to get in the habit of remembering. So, here I go again trying to catch up.

I have had a very busy past two weeks in trying to get shows done, Holiday Shops worked, networking, avoiding making phone calls - yes, avoiding, and still having time to myself. My Book Club meets this weekend, so that will be nice. However, before we even get there I have two parties this week. Then on Saturday, another Holiday Shop and a party on Sunday. Randy and I have decided for Thanksgiving we are staying in our pajamas and watching movies for two days. Will I make a Turkey with his Mom's Oyster Stuffing and the yummy Corn Pudding I make every year, I wont know until probably Tuesday when he tells me what he wants....it is quite the procrastinator when money is not involved.

Oh yea, we have a mouse....in the PANTRY! We have had the mouse since we moved in a year ago. And, to be perfectly honest, we didnt care. He has lots of room in the two car garage we dont park in, plenty of grass seed to eat. However, this week he moved inside so he has to go! He is a clever little booger too. He tripped the trap and then ate all the peanut butter, so Randy keeps getting craftier in where and how he sets them. I hope he gets caught soon or we will have to resort to the kind of traps I dont like, but work :0(

Right now, I am sitting in my office, not quite sure where the dogs are, enjoying the quiet. Oh wait, I hear Harley's collar. They must be in my bed sleeping. Just in case you were wondering, dogs prefer Sleep Number Beds over regular ones. And why do I keep typing like I am talking to anyone? No one reads this, so no one cares.....

That being said, I am off to bed to rest for another busy day. Come on Feb 8th!

Well, That Was Fun

My Holiday Shop is over. I had about 25-30 women come through. Only 3 of the ladies I was expecting and then a nice group of others. I really hope the other ladies did well and did not see it as a waste of time. I sold my Skillet - yeah! - and might actually qualify for a Party Lite party - yeah! It is late and I am tired. G'nite

Oh, yea, I have a Blog

This morning it dawned on me that I had this thing and hadnt written on it since I started it. So, I am getting the house ready today for 8 Vendors and about 50-60 Shoppers who are coming by to do some Christmas Shopping. Our Basement finally is cleaned out. Randy wanted to know why we arent always this productive - in ref. to the basement - and I told him it is b/c we arent always on a deadline.

Life is a bit hectic right now. We are trying to finish up a New Home in Arlington, a deck and porch in Vienna, a patio in Leesburg and we just started a new house in McLean. He bulldozed it two days ago. The good thing is, in two more days we can pour the foundation. I have a very full calendar this month with Pampered Chef parties. I literally have 3 dates available, with another 3 I could do back to backs if I truly wanted to. I really want to book the rest of my dates for Dec, but everyone is loving the Specials for Nov. The good thing is that I will earn all the new Spring Items since Nov is Sell-A-Thon. Mom and I are planning a large event to take place in Lansdowne in Feb and are having trouble getting Sponsors. Not that they dont want to Sponsor, but we need the monies now and the budgets are through for the year....gotta figure this one out.

Thankfully, we have no kids so I dont have to worry about adding that to the mix. Just a dog - the best dog in the whole wide world - that will sit and wait patiently for me to do whatever I need to do before going downstairs in the morning for literally hours to go out. Just this morning, I have already been up 2 hours and still he waits.

I am also trying to figure out how to not self-publish three kids books I have written. Which reminds me that I need to get with Jeremy about illustrating....I also need to decide how I am going to write Christian's book - like the other 3 and then another later or just another later.

Enough for now. I have a house to clean and product to put out....doesnt look like I will make Church this morning...

Just Getting Started

I have never done a Blog before so please bear with me as I find my way around. I dont really know why I decided to do one. I was on a friends and say "Create a Blog" and clicked it. Now here we are.....

I think I will use this as a way to journal my thoughts and frustration, even if only for me. Unfortunately, I have a headache that I can tell isnt going anywhere so this will be short.

What I am working on right now - closing a Show tonight, meeting with a potential Consultant tonight, cleaning the basement tonight since I am expecting a houseful on Sunday; Mom and I are working on an Event for Feb; staying in touch with all my Hostess' for Nov and Dec so I dont get very many cancellations or reschedules; my office is a mess, so I am working on that as each day progresses. I know what will happen though, I will get to a point that the parts I have cleaned and organized will be come a mess as I clean and organize the other parts. Yes, I do know this will happen from past experience.

Going to now and take some Advil.
